This flashback episode shows all of the events that were not shown in detail in the last episode. Meredith accepts what has happened, and wants to move on with her life, while Derek doesn't believe he'll ever do surgery again, so he turns to teaching. Cristina doesn't talk after the plane crash, she explains that she was awake for the four days they were out, and that at when she heard animals, she wanted them to kill them all, but she then realized they were fighting over Lexie's body. Arizona is angered that she might be losing her leg, and decides that at no matter what cost she'll keep her leg, until the infection takes a turn for the worse and Callie is forced to tell Karev to take her leg. Mark is the worst off after the crash, after being in a horrible condition, until he starts to get better, only to realize that he isn't going to survive, and Richard helps him set up his will, when he is put on life support.
